Keuka Lake Pet Nanny Services

  • The Pawsitive Pups Academy Finger Lakes Pet Nanny Program goes beyond traditional pet sitting or walking to provide your dog with structured activities, exercise and training on a short- or long-term basis, depending on your individual needs.

For long term clients, pet nanny services can also include custom training plans, transport to and from veterinary and grooming appointments and overnight care.

  • Dog walkers and pet sitters provide basic care services like food, water and potty breaks.

Pawsitive Pups Academy’s Finger Lakes Pet Nanny services provide your pet with structured, personalized activities that promote behavioral and physical wellness, along with basic training and exercise, on a short or long-term basis.

  • Prices vary based on service. Transporation is included.
Drop off and pick up is provided on a flexible schedule.

Short-term services (pay by the day)

    • 2-hour field trip — $75

    • Half day care (less than 5 hours) — $95

    • Full day care (more than 5 hours) — $115

  • Activities will vary from day to day and will be planned according to your dog’s specific needs. Some example activities would include a long line hike, a socialization trip to a local shopping area, a scent work training session or an off-leash romp with some doggie friends.

Pet Nanny pups will also work on basic training during their outings, including crate training, leash training and recall. Long-term client dogs will work on off leash skills to be able to participate in off leash hiking excursions.

  • No! Your pup does not have to like other dogs to participate in the pet nanny program, though availability for individual dogs is limited, and your dog must be able to be safely crated in proximity to other dogs.

  • In order to sign up for pet nanny services, your dog must be:

    • Up to date on rabies, distemper, parvo and bordetella vaccinations (verified proof from a veterinarian required)

    • Current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention

    • Comfortable traveling in a car crate

    • Comfortable and safe being crated in proximity to other dogs (slow introductions may be an option for pups who struggle with this. These cases will be evaluated on an individual basis.)

    • Comfortable being handled by your service provider (slow introductions may be an option for pups who are fearful of strangers. These cases will be evaluated on an individual basis.)
